Agreement for Granting Employees Administrator Rights on a Local Computer

HelpDesk is currently working on implementing a standard for granting local administrative rights to it’s employee end users.

Your questions and comments are appreciated.

Currently the agreement looks like this:

Agreement for Granting Employees Administrator Rights on a Local Computer

To ensure standard based configurations for hardware, software, and
security settings, administrative level access is restricted to helpdesk
technicians.  CTS will modify the default group policy with additional
file and registry rights required by specific applications.  Only when
employees cannot perform tasks required by their job due to the
limitation of the power users group will CTS grant local administrative
rights.  These tasks may include being able to install hardware such as
printers or USB devices to demonstrate in class, frequently install
applications that can’t be installed with power user rights, or using
applications that require administrator rights to operate correctly.
CTS will grant administrative rights to an employee only on their own
computer or a designated classroom computer that they frequently use.

In order for the user to be a local administrator employees will need to
sign this end user agreement.  The user agrees that they are responsible
for the stability of their system.  CTS reserves the right to revoke an
employee’s local administrative rights.

Please initial each statement:
____           The user performs tasks that require administrative rights on a frequent basis.
____           The user agrees that they are responsible for the stability of their system.
____           In the event that normal troubleshooting will not resolve a problem CTS will re-image the computer.
____           CTS does not authorize the user to install certain system programs (e.g. Internet Information System, web servers, sniffers, etc.)
____           The user must not allow others to use their account in order to have additional system rights or CTS will remove Administrative rights from that account.
____           Users must still abide by both SMCC  and MCCCD computer usage policies.
